I like to record a video conference which will be held with a web browser. For preparing that I tried to record music being played by mplayer. Unfortunately I get an audio stream that hardly can be heard. Without playing music the signal in Audio Mixer varies around -50dB. Playing music with PCM, Master and Capture in alsamixer at 100% OBS's audio capture device (ALSA) shows only about -45dB. Log attached.
My sound system (Alsa, no pulseaudio, no jack) works for me. I can play music with mplayer and adjust it's level with alsamixer (PCM). I don't have .asoundrc.
Any ideas why recorded sounds are nearly quiet?
