Question / Help Audio Setup problems

Hi,

a few days ago I have bought a new Headset (Sennheiser PC320) for my streaming sessions. Now I have a bit of a problem during my streams. Very often while talking parts of what I am saying are not just ignored but what comes after will also cannot be heard.

From what it sounds like that has something to do with the Noise Gate in OBS (which I am using obviously as I am here)? Or could it be something different?

I have trouble finding a solution because there is so much to google and while it seems for me like a "well, when you start being more quiet than before the Noise Gate mutes the microphone" problem" I both do not want to speak too loud all the time just so this does not happen and also not my mic to me muted only because I am pausing my speech. I have tried changing some stuff with the Noise Gate when it comes to "how much time it needs until it mutes and unmutes" and all that stuff but that does not seem to be working properly. I just want to talk normally and not shout all the time and want to be able to pause for how long or short I want without worrying about what can be heard and what not from my speech.

I also posted this on the twitch support board but I think the question is better asked here.

Thank you!

So if the problem is just not understood I'm gonna try to explain it easier as what I think of as the problem might be pretty simple:

Once you open OBS you can see a Microphone and a Speaker above "Settings" and "Start Streaming". While talking into my mic of course the bar is moving but some of the sound is not recorded or probably even muted together with a part of what comes afterwards. I think, I do not know, but I think that always happens whenever the sound is to low for the bar to be displayed, so close to zero or probably even zero because of a pause. However, of course I want to be able to pause without worrying or be a bit more quiet while still be heard.

So I guess that is the problem.

So your problem is that when the sound ducks down, it ducks to long after your voice is done talking? please provide a youtube sample and a logfile
