Question / Help Audio recording troubles for Attila total war

Hello all! Been using OBS for a year, perhaps almost two now, and I love it. However I have hit an unfortunate snag that I have been unable to troubleshoot myself.

When recording just the desktop on my laptop, my voice and anything else I have running sounds great. However, when I load up the game I intend to record (Attila Total War) my voice is noticeably distorted.

I have played with audio settings on both OBS and my laptop but I have still failed to resolve the problem. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this or has encountered this before?

Thanks in advance for any support!

Without Attila, normal desktop OBS

With Attila

There is the log. In the links above i have two videos listed, one with and one without attila running. I talk for a minute or so in both if that is useful. Thanks again!
It almost sounds like the game is changing the audio properties for its own need. you probably didn't notice it until OBS recorded you. I would right click on the speaker by the clock, click recording devices, double click on your mic, then enhancements tab, click disable all sound effects. also while you are in there, check in the advanced tab for your mic and see what the default format is set to: either 44100Hz or 48000Hz. Set OBS to whatever is set in your mics native format.
