So my viewers have been complaining lately that my voice is out of sync with my webcam. I've done some research and saw suggestions to disable the microphone from the audio settings and then enable the microphone for the webcam I use. Doing so produces no change in result. Having a friend watch my Twitch stream while I did this, I then put the settings back to the way I had them. Turned off the webcam completely. I then said "I'm going to cound down from 3 and then click this". He said it was still out of sync, I clicked before I counted down to 3.
When I watch the preview window for OBS, everything is in sync. The microphone indicator moves when my lips move. The audio cues match up to what I'm doing in screen. Everything matches up fine. This makes me think that something in the process of the encoding and broadcasting is causing the desync.
Is there anyone else who has experienced this or familiar with how to resolve this?
My next step I guess would be to try saving a copy of the stream locally and then play it back for myself to see if its still an issue. Then maybe it might be a broadcasting issue.
