Audio Occasionally Doubles (?), Seems To Be An Issue With Application Audio Capture

I believe this is an issue with Application Audio Capture (which I have not had this issue with prior to this week). It started randomly, but now once every 30 minutes or so, the application audio capture will "overload" and double up the audio, with a slight delay (see examples*). This has not affected my mic audio at all, nor my desktop audio capture (to my knowledge with the latter).

(my despair is due to a chatter telling me that the audio issue was still around)

Fixes I have tried:

-Uninstalling and reinstalling OBS
-Adjusting sound settings (audio bitrate, changing sample rate, monitoring device, audio encoder, etc)
-Double checked all devices were using 48kHz (and 44.1kHz when I was testing that sample rate)
-Made sure all drivers were up to date, even seemingly irrelevant ones
-Changed the USB port of my audio interface
-Closing all other programs, aside from OBS and the game I am recording

It really just seems to be an issue with that specific source. Furthermore, I have no idea when it's happening on my end. There is no tell, I will only come across it in a recording, or someone will mention it in chat when I'm streaming. There are also no other issues with audio or any other aspect of my PC, in any other program. OBS is the only program with this issue, as far as I can tell.

For my PC specs, I have the following:

-AMD Ryzen 3700X 8 Core
-RTX 4070
-HyperX 2x16 GB 2400 MHz
-Focusrite Scarlett Solo 3rd Gen

event log from my most recent live stream is attached

*examples have microphone audio and a little bit of surround audio to give full context of what my gameplay audio normally sounds like, and how my mic audio is unaffected
