Hello guys,
OBS is amazing, I donated a few months ago and OBS Studio is the shit!
However - as an audio creator uy I have a problem with recording lossy audio. I tend to show my sounds on YouTube, which on it's own compresses audio in a way that changes the quality big time, especially for my kind of sounds (weapons, explosions, short, sharp sound effects)
Although 320kbit/s AAC sounds good enough, it's not suitable material for re-compression.
So I am wondering if OBS Studio can somehow record a simple WAV file (or even encode to FLAC, settings set by user). I record into a MKV container.
Thanks to everyone! :)
EDIT: I know about the FFMpeg custom file output, I just don't know what encoders to use there, the names are very cryptic. :-/ I would like to use AMD Media Foundation's codec for video and PCM16bit, stereo, 44.1 KHz sampling rate for audio.
