I have a problem with Microphone monitoring

the mic is coming from the mic audio and the desktop

Is there a way to not have the mic sound on the desktop but just for monitoring?

The desktop audio is using the monitored audio and the desktop even with mute output in the mixer

desktop track 3 -
microphone track 2

You need completely different device to monitor through it. While you monitoring through the "desktop device" - it could be captured by any Audio Output Capture source or so.

Having same issue, please help was this ever resolved?

OBS is playing all my streaming audio back through my speakers and causing an audio loop. I have closed everything but game and OBS. I can mute OBS in volume mixer of windows but then it will not playback desktop audio in my stream only mic.

If anyone's still having problems with getting the audio monitoring to work,
i had to run obs in Admin mode under Windows10Pro to get it to function.
