Question / Help Audio loop with OBS

Hi everyone,

I'm here because I really need help.
So, I'm trying to stream with OBS since yesterday and again, again and again, audio loops are creating on my stream. So, no I'm not watching my own stream, I muted it. But, the loop is still there. I've also disabled the "view" settings.
I'm streaming on CS:GO and i'm also with someone on Skype.
So please, once again, help me to fix my problem !

Have a nice day.

The only situation i can think of is if you are only using desktop speakers (instead of a headset) then its most likely the issue of your sounds looping.
Its just not the ideal setup for streaming. (thats why you see practicly all streamers have an headset)

Perhaps there are other situations that im not aware that can cause this issue but you already ruled out the most common one (watching your own stream).

perhaps an far streched theory is that the sounds somehow loop via that skype friend but that is not likely.

I'm using an headset. And no, the sound does not come from my friend because it's very clear, can't be that.

is it a fast loop or a slow one? If fast, its coming from windows recording devices via the listen to this device option. If slow its somewhere between you and your stream

I have it coming through my headset, and all other mics disabled, but I am having a slow loop. It repeats about every 10 seconds getting softer each time. I've tried everything to fix this.

Anyone with an answer?

iypically if you start your own thread along with a logfile, it this can be answered. If its a fast loop, it means the source of the loop is local, such as a mic picking up on a headset. Sometimes this happens because there is another place to input your mic when you set up a webcam. some people forget and set up both so when they think they've muted one mic, the other keeps doing it.

If its a slow loop 10-30 seconds, its usually caused by a stream being open in a browser or something. I had a guy that swore his own stream was muted but it turns out, when he closed his browser, the loop stopped. Its mainly because he was checking for the loop with his browser instead of just recording a sample and looking back at it.

@Ecrelynf After it starts, read above.
