Question / Help Audio Issues, Please Help!

I'll preface by saying that I'm very new to streaming so please forgive me if I miss something simple.

I'm having a very difficult time getting audio into my stream. Here is a list of equipment being used:

Magewell XI100DUSB-HDMI cap card connected to a PS4
Windows 10 running on a newly built PC with very high end components
MXL990 mic connected to a Behringer Xenyx Q802USB mixer that is connected to the computer via USB

My issue is that I get no audio going out into the stream or even in preview mode. I know that the mixer/mic are working correctly because I can hear myself talk in my headphones if I plug them into the mixer and OBS appears to pick it up. The mic level in OBS is turned all the way up and the monitor bar shows audio coming through. I however can't hear myself when I'm just plugged into the computer Conversely, the audio out level is also turned all the way up, but only pings when I turn on music, which is the only audio that goes into the stream. I get no game audio whatsoever As far as I know all the hardware is working perfectly (it's all brand new), and all the settings in OBS are where they should be; default mic (USB Codec from mixer) and desktop audio (Realtek High Definition Audio Speakers) are selected and correctly set up in Windows, audio from cap card is selected, turned up, and set to "Output audio to Desktop". My headphones are simply plugged into the headphone jack on the front of the PC. I am running the v0.657b - 64bit version of OBS

I hope this is clear, I've been banging my head against the desk for 4 hours trying to get everything to work and I'm quite frazzled. Any help from the masters out there would be greatly appreciated.
