Is it possible to set up an Audio Interface for an XLR mic while still using my sound card for sound and streaming it that way as well?

Nice one thanks for getting back. I didn't know if the Audio Interface had to take over from the sound card or not.

I have a very specific setup, which won't allow me to drop my sound card due to a SPDIF in slot that i use very regularly and didn't want there to be any conflicts or added latency. But i needed something i can use for monitoring every now and again while at the same time running an XLR mic with Phantom power as i feel it's the better choice over a USB mic.

Yep, you just set up the XLR interface as the Mic channel device in OBS. Nothing else changes. I do the same with a Behringer mixing desk with a built-in USB interface.
And yes, XLR > USB all-in-one. Quality, upgradability, and overall price all lean in XLR's favor. The USB AIOs offer simplicity for newbies, but that's about it... they are at the peak of a very short hill, with no upgrade path beyond starting over.

Do be aware that OBS doesn't play well with ASIO; opt for non-ASIO drivers for your interface, if available (many will work with the default Windows audio device drivers).
