Question / Help Audio Help

I've got a dual PC set up with working video but no audio. I have tried numerous things and can't seem to get the audio working the way I want it to. Here is a list of all the equipment and cables I have.
I originally had the TRS cables plugged into channels 5/6 and 7/8. Channel 5/6 (gaming audio) went into the Line out on sound card 1 while 7/8 (VOIP) went into the Line out on sound card 2 on my gaming PC. The AUX cable was plugged into the Mic in on sound card 2 on the gaming PC. The mic was plugged into channel 1 via XLR and the mixer was plugged into the streaming PC via USB.

The Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 was not even in use.

So here are my questions,
  1. Where should these cables be plugged into?
  2. How would I connect my mixer to the Scarlett?
  3. What should the playback and recording tabs look like? (Like what should be set to default device, default communications etc.)
  4. What should my obs setting be?
  5. Is there a need for a program like VAC?

How is your wireless headset connected?

I can help you with this, but for that more information is needed (how is your second PC connected etc).

I would like to see a full analog audio routing. Still the best for work. Forget audio via optical cables, wireless or HDMI, cant recommend it.

The usual setup would look pretty simple, you set up anything for your local recording and then split the signal with your mixer to add it to your second PC. Analog audio will have close to no latency (specially with semi-professional gear that you use).
There is also a way around your Avermedia capture card that would make audio routing easier.

I just need a simple explanation on where the cables need to be plugged into. Like from gaming pc to mixer, mixer to scarlett, and scarlett to streaming pc.

Then an explanation on what the default settings should be for playback and recording tabs and settings for obs.

I have no cables plugged in right now because I am starting from scratch
