Hello everyone, I had a problem and I wanted to see if anyone had a solution
Since last week I wanted to stream from obs but when I open it it doesn't detect the desktop or microphone audio, I did many things to solve it, such as:

update it, update audio drivers, check that the devices were in place, delete and install it, see if my antivirus interfered, that it had access to the devices and nothing

Until last week I deleted it and installed a previous version (30.1) and it worked and I could already capture audio
Until yesterday I tried making a recording and everything was fine
But today 11/30 it didn't work again and I downloaded version 29.1 and it didn't work either

I hope someone can help me because I like to stream on my weekends and I'm tired of not being able to do it :(

Are you using "Default" for your device selections in OBS? If so, then it could simply be that Windoze tried to be smart and ended up being stoopid as usual, in thinking you wanted to use a different audio device. OBS's Default follows that, and now the exact same setting is looking at the wrong device.

ALWAYS change the setting to either "Disabled" if you're not going to use it, or to a specific device. NEVER "Default".

"Default" is good to show that a fresh installation that knows absolutely nothing, works. It's the most likely to grab whatever you're using at that moment. Beyond that, it's a liability for the reason above. ALWAYS change it. NEVER leave it on "Default".

(if you have a good reason to oppose this absolute, then you probably know enough of what you're doing and how it works to be your own support)
