Question / Help Audio from psp to pc

Hello I am trying to stream ym psp to twitch with video and audio. When I go to stream the cideo comes up fine but I have no audio I have my psp connected to my pc via a 3.5mm male to male audio cable and I've messed around with the audio a little bit and still no sound.. so is there something I am doing wrong? Or is something not set up right?

What port is the 3.5mm jack going into? Are you using a capture card of some sort?

No I'm not using a capture card. Should I? I'm using remotejoy
Lite to get my audio and it's just a standard ge 3.5mm
Male to male audio cable

So then it's going into your Line-In port on your sound card?

I believe so the only audio port I have that the audio cable fits into

Just because the jack fits doesn't mean it's a line-in port. Does the port have a symbol next to it, or is it colored in any way?

yes it has the symbol of a headset next to it

If it looks like Headphones, then that's audio output. You can't put input into an output port.

Well that sucks XD what would you suggest I do?

Most sound cards do have an input on them...are you sure you don't have one?

Is the icon a pair of headphones, or headphones + a mic?

Is this a laptop or a desktop?

yes it is a headset plus a mic and its a laptop I have 4 usb ports an hdmi port and a port idk the name of but its square and has a bunch of circles in them I also just found a 3.5mm to usb cord in my house so I now have that if I can use that.

It's possible that the port is "switchable" somehow, letting you decide if it should be a line-in or a line-out. You might want to look into your sound drivers for that.

Sorry about the delayed post my schedule has been hectic these past two days but anyways I was able to switch it but now it picks up sound but not the game sound I think the comp is built in with a mic so it only picks up whats going on outside I tried messin with all the drivers but I couldn't do the speakers which is what I think the jack is connected too..

I don't know how your computer works, so you'll have to figure it out. Just make sure the devices are selected to the correct ones in your OBS audio settings.
