Question / Help Audio for stream, but no audio is recorded file?

Hi there, I've been using OBS to stream for a few weeks and like it a lot.


However, when I try to record a file, there is video but no audio that I can see. I've tried multiple formats (mp4 and mov) with different audio/channel configurations with no luck. I'm guessing I'm missing something obvious but I can't find what. My most recent log http://pastebin.com/7cbH5Qyq

Are you trying to play the video back with Windows Media Player? If so, don't. It has poor codec support, and is the primary cause of no-audio and no-video issues.

Download VLC and play back with that. Also, record to FLV; never record to MP4 as it's a very fragile format and if OBS crashes at any point, your recording becomes irrecoverable garbage. The whole thing. If you need a different format, just remux it from FLV.
