Question / Help Audio doesnt stream when I plug in G930 headset, normal headset with jacks works fine!

Hi there,

Im trying to stream with my new headset, initially it worked great. Then I updated OBS and found my stream was constantly freezing, so i done a system restore from a previous point.

whilst it was doing this, it appears that its picked up my headphones as a set of speakers. meaning when im using it I can hear whatever, but it doesnt appear on stream. How can I get this to act like a headset again?

By speakers i mean you open volume mixer and it comes up as speakers in the devices section.

OBS doesnt even see my headset either so i cant even change settings on obs to make it work

If OBS isn't seeing the headset at all after a system restore then the first thing I'd try is reinstalling the latest drivers from http://www.logitech.com/en-us/support/wireless-gaming-headset-g930

Once you do that, reboot, then go back to Settings > Audio in OBS and see if the headset is listed properly.

It still doesnt see it, it sees the mic but it did before the update.

I think the problem lies in the computer seeing at as speakers, rather than doing what my nromal headphones are doing and going off the default speakers and muting them when plugged in

The headphoens are acting as standalone and not what my crappy headphones are doing properly
