Good afternoon, everyone!
I use the OBS studio program almost daily. And I have such a problem. When starting the program, if the "incoming audio stream" and "outgoing audio stream" settings do not have devices manually set, but the "Default" option is set, then the sound from the necessary devices is not perceived by the application at all. By the way, in the system settings, I made it so that I have only 1 audio output device (Edifier audio card), and 1 microphone only (Fifine K669). These same devices are used by default in Windows as default devices, or as basic devices, in other words.
So, if i manually "re-select" these 2 devices in OBS as an audio output device and an input device, respectively, and even if you then set the "Default" options in both the "outgoing audio stream device" and the "incoming audio stream device", then the sound only starts in this case. it is captured by the application correctly and without failures/interruptions.
After closing and reopening the application, the problem repeats, and it may not manifest itself only if i set the "incoming audio stream" and "outgoing audio stream" options in the settings with the Fifine microphone and the Edifier audio card, respectively.
How do I make sure that the application captures sound from these two devices "without unnecessary movements" at once normally, without requiring to "re-select" these devices or the "Default" option each time the application is launched?
I'll make a reservation in advance - neither reinstalling the application, nor resetting settings, nor the command for Windows "sfc" helps at all/ scannow". And I've been observing this problem for at least a year now.
I always update the app to a new version, with some exceptions when I have to roll back to older versions (due to some bugs in the new version of the app).
Yes, for example, I can set the devices I need in the input audio stream and output audio stream settings, and leave it that way, but, for example, when the OBS application crashes for some reason, some settings are reset. And among other things, recently, for example, the settings of the input audio stream and the output audio stream were reset, as a result of which - I had 2 streams in a row - there was absolutely no sound, both without sound that was from the computer and without sound that was from the microphone. I'm tired of periodically monitoring such things, and constantly adjusting everything manually, and sometimes - I forget to do it at all, when, for example, I don't have this problem for 10-20 days in a row, but then it shows up, and I only find out about the problem after the fact, when I've already got a few ruined streams.
Please help me with this problem.
