I have not experienced this, but someone else I know has, and I don't want to leave unreported!
When you switch to a webcam source on the latest version of OBS, the audio cuts in and out, as shown in the first ~30 minutes of this video.
As you can see in the first 30 minutes, when they switch to the webcam, the audio cuts in and out. But when they (somehow) magically uninstall OBS while it's running and downgrade to OBS 0.5.9, it works! This leads me to believe that it's the latest version, as they found out as well.

It would be nice to see a log, but my guess is that they are trying to run the camera at 1080p over USB 2.0, which a lot of webcams struggle with. It's generally recommended to run webcams at 720p or below so that they don't saturate the USB controller.

Im actually having really bad problems with my audio with everything..but only when i hit "preview stream" or "start stream". Spotify, Youtube, itunes, and the game im playing, all the sounds get washed out, distorted, and the tempo or pulse of the song or talking is slowed down to the point of i cant stream due to the horrible sound it gives my viewers along with i cant even play with the horrible sound i am hearing. I am running a C920 webcam and a Prismatic Afterglow headset and i didnt have any problems up until a couple days ago...I have rolled back to previous versions and still having troubles. I doubt its on my end due to the fact ive clean installed all my drivers and have been checking my logs along with my own side of the tracks.

I can run, youtube, itunes, and my game at the same time and no audio issues!! For something that "Only reads audio" it sure is acting funny for no reason. The debug code reader that this site provides only finds that Aero is disabled, when i clearly know it isnt disabled. I do not know if maybe that is sticking and is causing issues or what. But something needs to give here!! I want answers, not run arounds, and the simple cause of saying its hardware or software related because it just came out of nowhere.....

** I wish i knew half as much as these devs!! Im not trying to sound like a flamer or anything its just it really put a damper on my streaming...i am a disabled vet and this has been such an amazing hobby for me**
