Question / Help Audio "blipping" when using OBS

Hey there,

I am currently using the on-board mic for my Logitech webcam to capture my voice for streaming (I know I know, I really need a good headset but cant afford one yet). Viewers today complained about my voice "skipping" while on stream. Upon looking at the most recent log i noticed about 100 of these error messages in a row:

The only thing your missing there is hundreds more of those same timestamp error messages from the previous post, but it exceeded the 60000 character limit

Yes ok thanks. Most of the time these problems occur if the webcam is set to 1080p. USB2 can't really handle the bandwidth of HD video to begin with. Try to set the camera to output to 720p and see if the problem persists. Also set the scene buffering time in Advanced to 700. Lastly make sure your webcam is a Global Source.

Too low of scene buffering time will cause the stutter/blipping. Always make sure it's at the default of 700 or higher. It used to be 400 by default in old old versions, but that turned out to be a bad idea, so it may have been that.
