Question / Help Audacity audio out of sync...

Hey everyone, so I've set up OBS to record my videos, and it's all fine and dandy, working smoothly as usual.

But when i open my video in Lightworks 11.5 (Free) (can't afford adobe...), the audio from Audacity (my Voice Over) is out of sync... It's really annoying to have to sync the audio all the time, does anyone know how to fix this?

Here's what I do to set up my audio and such. In this example, it's a 10 minute video...

1. I open all the programs I need, OBS, Audacity, and game launcher.

2. Hit record on OBS

3. wait (for example) 10 seconds and hit record on Audacity.

(this is so I can see when I hit record to sync audio better.)

4. Game for 10 minutes.

5. Close game, wait 10 seconds and stop recording with Audacity.

6. wait 5 seconds and stop recording with OBS.

So the video run time is, 10m 25s.

I then open Lightworks, and insert the VO. I watch the beginning and it's in Sync, however near the end it's completely out of sync.

Anyone on here able to help out, or should I post on the Lightworks Forum as well?

Thanks anyone and everyone!

I.. am confused. How exactly are you using audacity? To record your mic separately from the stream?

Yes, because my mic is in my webcam, so there is no way to edit the quality of the mic if it is in the same audio stream as the video.

Wouldn't this technically mean it's not really an OBS issue though? I mean I want to help you, though I'm just not entirely sure if I can help you in this case.
