ASUS TUF CU4K30 Not transmitting video to OBS

I have a 4K video camera plugged into an ASUS CU4K30 capture card and then a USB cord going out from the capture card to my MacBook on which I have installed the latest version of OBS. I added a new Capture Card device as a Source in OBS, and it does show the CU4K30 UVC UHD device as an option in the drop-down list. I set the resolution to 1280x720 on both the video camera and the Source properties. But there is no video feed coming into OBS. I was using a no-name capture card that worked but was inconsistent and regularly cuts out the video feed. But the ASUS is supposed to be approved to work with OBS so what am I missing? Do I need a plugin or something? Yes I tried restarting everything and replugging everything.
