Question / Help Astro A40 Analog Audio for Elgato HD60 on OBS

Hello,

I have got the analog audio fully setup for recording on the Elgato software. Astro USB into the PS4 and 3.5mm from MixAmp Pro to Elgato HD60.

I am just wondering how I would get this to work in OBS? Is there a setting for it? Last time I tried it didn't seem to work.

I am aware that the new A40 TR will allow me to not record the mic with analog audio and in its place use my blue snowball, which is awesome! In order to do this I assume I need to plug the snowball into the PC?

Thanks! I really appreciate it!!!

short answer yes. plug the snowball into the PC since capture cards only capture what you would normally hear which wont include your mic on the PS4.

You are able to record your own voice using the analog audio on the Elgato via the MixAmp pro. I have it setup to record but am wondering what settings I need for OBS as it doesn't seem to record any sound

If you go into the properties of the elgato video capture device in OBS, there are some options for audio.

Run the OBS preview

Right click on the Elgato source, click on configure
There should be a "Use analog audio" checkbox.

Check it. Now you are receiving analog audio.
