Question / Help aspect ratio and DayZ *2 different questions*

hello there i'm SorteP. I'm having trouble streaming certain games that i want to play in 4:3 resolution...

so basically when I'm wanting to do is keep my desktop resolution at 16:9 1920x1080 but play certain games (like counter strike and DayZ) at 4:3 1024x768 without shifting my other programs i have running in the backround like twitch, OBS and twitch alert ect...

I'm not to sure if that makes sense so i'll try to explain it again...

I dont want google chrome to move my other programs i have running while i try to stream on my other monitors. sometimes it moves my twitch page and i can only see half of the screen because it wants to hide on me. lol and using twitch alerts is the same thing so i can't really use it...

I can always downscale my desktop resolution to 4:3 1024x768 but it's just so much trouble to put back when i dont stream... any solution to this?

and my second question is i can't seem to stream DayZ standalone.
I have it in game capture, i've enabled "Anti-cheat compatibility hooking (use only if necessary) *because i heard thats what you have to do to get it running properly* but it still doesn't show up in OBS nor twitch. so i'm confused how i can stream the game...

any help will be greatly appreciated. thanks for taking the time to read this.

P.S.
Heres the log file.

Well, your windows probably get moved because your monitor switches to 1024x768 if you run those games in fullscreen mode (which you probably have to).

For DayZ, hmm the log was unfortunately incomplete and showed you trying to capture csgo. You could upload us a recent log, first start a preview, start dayz and select it in the game capture properties (with anti-cheat compatibility) then you need to go into dayz once, click around in the menu, go back to OBS, see if you got a picture, stop the preview, and upload us the current log file.

the game recently updated which is causing issues with obs i managed to get it up but game would crash as soon as i connected to a server. i am yet to find a solution

edit
yesterday i had issues today it works fine go figure -_-
things to try run steam as admin and obs too
and aspect ratio to 1280x720 to keep the aspect the same

so is there no way to play on 1024x768 ingame but keep my desktop resolution to 1920x1080 without having anything else i have opened shift to a position that i have not set it at? I would really enjoy playing windows mode if it is possible with the resolution settings i choose.

Not that I know of. As soon as a software needs a lower resolution, the desktop has to switch to this resolution on this monitor too, but the windows on this desktop are of course bigger and hence they shift to a different position.
If you ran a 1024game in window mode on a 1920screen, it would be quite small and only take up some space of your screen instead of using the whole screen.

No way around the windows moving unfortunately. I would recommend simply playing your games in your monitors native resolution that way you're supposed to. Not sure why you want to play in 1024x768 but there's absolutely no benefit to it. The only people who still use 1024x768 are old counterstrike pro's who are stuck in their old ways
