Hello all, Ive been having an issue recently, After an uncertain amount of time my audio will begin to crackle/distort, once I select the application audio source, swap the source & then swap it back, it fixes it. this happens every stream WITHOUT fail, is this know/ is there a known fix? I have tried all sorts to remedy it but nothing seems to work??

Hello everybody,
I was struggling all the time thinking this was NDI problem (because I do stream with 2 computers and I send source (video and audio) from Windows OBS to Mac OBS, but now I know the problem is from windows audio capture beta.

How to solve this problem? This is very random when happens, I´m live streaming and suddently that happens, if I change scene collections in OBS and put it again that problem just stops, but it´s very annoying because I´m hearing game from game itself so I really can´t hear the problem, only my viewers tell me that there is something wrong with game sound, and then i correct it by changing scene collections.
This is when the audio problem starts (it can start rendomly at any time, or simply not happen):

And this is when someone from my viewers tells me, and i just select randomly another Scene Collection,, turn back, and voila:

I have the latest OBS version and the latest win audio capture version also.
I´m starting to think in getting VoiceMeeter to make the capture in VoiceMeeter and then inject it to OBS as Audio Source to not have this problem, I just wonder if the voicemeeter causes CPU usage that will mess up with my setup.

Oh, I´m just searching for alternatives and, for people like me that only wants to capture individual sources, and of course I want this plugin to work flawlessly and then I´ll use it again, there´s a better, easier, and cleaner way to do this: is just using Steelseries Sonar. At least it seems much easier and for the point of interest, I just need my sources to be on discord individually, so this do the trick!

Well, first impressions of SteelSeries Sonar: CPU usage was around 10%, maybe its a no no for me. But hey, I was configuring, with the menu ON, so... maybe it´s ok. Anyway, trying Voicemeeter banana now, I´ll tell you my oppinion

Ok, so I sticked to VoiceMeeter Banana, it´s a little bit complicated to people that are not used to this things, but I think it´s not our case, I just created my alternative to this plugin. But hey, great plugin, please make sure this will be corrected so we can go back to the plugin!

Well, after almost 2 weeks of working on a sollution, I had Voicemeeter Potato (and it´s very nice but for some reason it didn´t keep my buffer size and for me it´s very important i have a low buffer size) and tried sonar but didn´t get where to fix the buffer size for it, so It´s very annoying because the alternatives are not so good in a matter of latency as the Win Audio Capture (BETA) plugin. So, maybe I have to go back to the plugin but I know it will start making those noises from time to time and it´s horrible for streaming. Don´t anyone know if they are fixing that?

Hey I’m having the below problem and it sounds similar??

I am using OBS to stream from my Xbox. I used an Elgato HD60x capture card. Ever since the 29.1.2 update with OBS the game audio coming through is very faint or non existent. Can you please advise how to fix??

Hi @gwizz ,
For that question I don´t know how to answer, the problem Is not the sound being almost non existent, the problem is difficult to describe because it only happens sometimes, and after some minutes like 30 minutes or more, it´s random, and it´s like the sound continues to capture, but with a continuous noise above it. I just switch scenes in OBS that is capturing, and the problem goes away. But it´s annoying because I need someone on my stream to tell me that there is a problem with the sound so I can notice it, because I´m not hearing the monitor, I´m hearing the actual game.

Yeah fair fair.

It’s painful. Mine just suddenly stopped working. I think mine could be a hardware problem. As it was working and now only part of the game sound comes through. I’m buying another capture card to see if it is the capture card. Just trial and error it all really. See how I go with that.
