Question / Help Anyway to save recording output as .mp4 instead of .flv

My video editor of choice cannot open .flv files and I was wondering if there was a way to set OBS to save its recordings in a different format such as .mp4

Don't save as mp4, if OBS or your system crashes they will be corrupt. You can remux afterwards.

What? Is that why I can never record to .MP4, like I said in my thread?

Could be, that's why we recommend using .flv
