Question / Help Anything under 6000bitrate looks terrible

Hi, I use OBS for streaming to Twitch.
Playing Minecraft, the stream looks terrible.
I always get low bitrate looking stream, pixelation everywhere
I stream:
2300 bitrate CBR
1920x1080 downscaled to 1280x720
45FPS (30FPS doesn't help, and just looks stuttery)
x264 veryfast (High CPU usage if I choose faster)

If I record at 8000 bitrate, it looks good, but even 5000 looks bad
If Twitch's max bitrate is 3500, how come no one elses stream looks this bad?

please post a log + a vod to confirm the recording with different opinions (please no yt upload, give us the actual twitch vod)

as gol d ace already stated, if theres heavy picture movement e.g. minecraft where the whole screen is moving and has especially dark colours in this vod you, then you will always suffer quality thats just how streaming is theres no 1:1 streaming possibility even recording 720p30 with a 50k bitrate will have a margin of quality loss.

in your case using more bitrate or less fps is the way to go.

if you want to directly upload your vod to yt, then it will look bad even with 3500bitrate no matter what, since there is always more compressing by yt

as a note, with your current quality you should be doing great, if you cant attract viewers it is not because of your current quality.

Hahaha, mate, the viewers are not the problem, I've got quiet an audience in my country, and I'm not uploading bad quality vods to YouTube.
But just look at some other streames that play Minecraft, it doesn't look that bad at all!
