Question / Help Anyone out there getting Archeage to work with game capture?

It seems something changed from the last time I streamed this a few weeks ago during a beta weekend invite.

I can't seem to get it to work at all.

Using manual select or hotkeys doesn't get past a black screen, and using anti cheat causes the game to close.

I always start OBS in admin mode.

I viewed the game in a preview using window capture and o m g it looks horrible. It is darker and looks sort of foggy. Using gama raising doesn't really help.
 
It's a korean MMO, which have super aggressive anti-cheat and anti-botting stuff, so I would recommend running it fullscreen windowed mode and using window capture or monitor capture.

I only see windowed and full screen available in the options.
 
Well you can post a log of your game capture attempt too if you wish, though I'm pretty sure the game itself is most likely blocking it. If that is the case then windowed mode and window capture might be the best option unfortunately.
 
5 is access denied. If running OBS as admin doesn't work, then the game is blocking the capture. You'll have to run the game in a windowed mode and use window capture.
 
Would using something like Dxtory passing through to OBS work, giving a better quality than the window capture I was seeing?
 
Try the "anti-cheat compatibility" mode in game capture as well, forgot about that.

If dxtory works and OBS doesn't then I'm probably just not accounting for something.

I don't have the money for Dxtory but read stuff about it, using it with OBS/Xsplit, using it as a virtual camera or something and passing the video to OBS.
 
Dxtory can be used in trial mode with a watermark, that would at least tell you if it can hook the game successfully or not.
