The FX processors are made to encoding, streaming. It's performance are a lot better than intel CPU's

buy fx 8320, 8350 is just overclocked version

My build will look like this:

CPU: Best recommendation.
Mobo: something cheap.
Ram: 8GB, something cheap.
Storage: SSD, since im not recording.

Shouldnt be too expensive, but I would still like feedback from the seemingly knowledgeable mods in this forum ;)

For a PC that is only doing encoding, I would probably recommend the AMD. You will get excellent encoding performance (one of the few areas the FX processors excel at compared to Intel) for a reduced price. I would not actually skimp out on RAM, as RAM is extremely important to encoding.

Having said that, an Intel Sandy/Ivy/Haswell processor will also come with an integrated GPU that will be able to handle the GPU requirements of OBS. If you get an FX processor, you WILL need a GPU.

1080@60 is still not really recommended :/

and a cheap gpu will do since amd is about to release their new r7/r9 series where the r7 budget gpu is sold for like 90 bucks

I'm extremely interested in how that video capture card works out for you. Please let us know!

The advantage of Intel is the built-in GPU, as mentioned. OBS needs a GPU, even if you're not doing Quicksync, and the new Intel CPUs have one that qualifies as far as I know.

If you have an old (but not too old, my GTX260 wasn't good enough) GPU you plan to use, then AMD 8350 (or the other one someone mentioned) is surely a good way to go for the money. Otherwise I'd think a CPU/Motherboard with Intel HD Graphics 3000/4000/4400/4600 would be even cheaper, based on not having to buy a GPU.

Performance as indicated by the R1CH's link is very similar between the all the i7s and the AMD 8350, but the Haswell i7 4770k would be the best of them all.

Once im streaming, ill let you know. Im excited myself. I like to try new things, and 1080p60 is just in its infancy.
