Here is my rig:

FX 8350
Sapphire NITRO R9 380 4GB

120 GB SSD
500 GB HDD

Hello! Right now I'm trying to record Tom Clancy's The Division in 1080p, 60fps.

I have tried the settings suggested in this thread:
https://obsproject.com/forum/resources/how-to-make-high-quality-local-recordings.16/

But to no avail! Please let me know if this is even possible, and if not then let's try and figure out the best settings for 1080p at 30fps.

Thanks in advance, I will post the OBS logs soon!

Post a logfile from a previous streaming attempt.
Be aware that The Division is a very CPU-heavy game, and causes problems both in recording and streaming.

Maybe go higher in OBS priority, found in OBS advanced settings, and/or use task manager to reduce game's priority. This may help OBS, but may slow down game.

Not sure if you can record at 1920x1080 at 60 fps, UltraFast, and run game (Division) at 60 fps on the same computer?
If needed, maybe pick between 1080p 30fps, or 720p 60fps, if cpu isn't good enough for 1080p 60fps.

What will help a lot is to use a second pc with capture card. Capture cards that can capture at 1080p60 might not yet be cheap enough?

I don't think I would mind recording at 1080p and 30fps, so if put the CPU setting to veryfast, what should the crf be?

CRF can be anywhere between 0-51, with higher number being poor quality tiny file size, and low number being high quality big file size. Going too low of crf of less then 10 may also use up a bit more CPU. Probably start at 20 then change it if needed.

Preset adjusts OBS's cpu usage, with "UltraFast" having smallest CPU usage at some cost of bigger filesize and/or quality. Too slow preset use up all available CPU and will skip/duplicate frames which is bad.
