Question / Help Airdroid broadcasting?

I use airdroid, which has a screencasting feature. But while OBS can see it when choosing the program to make a new scene, but then can't actually capture the window. I'd like to stream my art as I make it, but I can't figure out how to get it to capture the screencasting window. Win 7 ultimate, HTC One M7 on viper rom, latest OBS and airdroid. Nothing shows up for the log file. It just says it can't find the AirMirror window.

Well, I sort of found a workaround. I just have to set up a screen capture on the window area instead of a window capture. I posted to the airdroid forums and they say they're working on the problem. Until then at least it works. A bit bad looking when an error or other window pops up, but it works.

Try window capture with compatibility mode enabled in the properties.

I did try that. No combination of options on the window capture allowed it to show up on the stream. The only one that worked was the screen capture.
well you can always set a subregion of window capture. its probably because it uses hook to get that window from the phone, which can usually only bee hooked once.

EDIT: weird thing to try is game capture, dont be fooled by the name, just use it. :)

My guess is that the window is rendering with OpenGL, which bypasses the DWM, making it impossible to capture with Window capture.

The upshot, as dping suggested, is that it should work with game capture.

I think they mean in the art app, would airdroid be able to draw? The answer is ... sort of. A bit laggy and imprecise to make good art, and the mouse is not a good art impliment anyway, but technically yes, you can draw with airmirror. I would suggest only using airmirror to show the process to others instead of doing the drawing via airdroid.

did you try it with anticheat hook?

I tried every combination of the options. The only way I could get it to work was a screen capture. I'll admit, it is possible that there's some sort of conflict on my machine, but I've tried everything I can think of and only screen capture seems to work. And that is annoying because I have to set it up each time.
