Question / Help Advice needed on PC to buy

Hi, I want to stream WoW using OBS. I would like it to be good quality, so when I have 1000's of viewers they enjoy.

What is the minimum requirement of a system to do this as I want to get a PC built for me soon.

I don't have knowledge on PC building or buying parts, and am not eager to learn, I just want a PC that does the job :)

Go for an i7-6700k with 32GB RAM, and an nVidia GTX 980Ti. You'll also want an NVME m.2 drive, and a Samsung 850 EVO SSD for loading games and stream assets. You'll also need a dual Xeon standalone encoding machine with 64GB RAM, another 980Ti, and a Magewell 1080p@60fps capture card for your encoding machine.

Otherwise, we need more information like what resolution and framerate you plan to stream at, which service you plan to stream to, and if you are Partnered or not.

That's starting to look more expensive than I thought it might be.

I'm fairly new to streaming, I use to do a bit on my currently ancient computer and it was doing the job well, but only at like 480p, on Twitch, I gave it up as my computer started getting less powerful over time and I really wanted to get into it again, with streaming at 1080.

I had a £800 put aside for a computer but it looks like that would not be enough?...How much more would I need?.

That was actually a silly-build, since there were no requirements listed. That setup would probably cost about $6000-8000 or more, depending. Also because you didn't want to do any research yourself. If you don't care, why should anyone else?

If you are streaming to Twitch and are not a Partnered caster, your realistic bitrate limit to remain watchable is 2000kbps. 720p@30fps fits into that nicely. 1080p does not.

For 720p@30fps, a modern i5 with 8GB RAM and a modern discrete GPU should do the job.
If you want to be forward-facing, look at a modern i7 instead; a real one (minimum four physical cores) like the 4790k hits a good price/performance point.
