Advanced Scene Switcher automatically switching to intro scene every time I click on something outside the program.

I absolutely love this plugin and I have it set up to switch from my intro to my first scene but for some reason if I click anywhere outside the program it restarts the intro. I use the internet during my videos so it's causing quite a bit of trouble, is there a way to stop this from happening?
 
I'm using the plugin to help me with advancing though well over 20 scenes. I started with v1.4? or so [from memory] and am at 1.6.x and just haven't gotten around to updating to v1.7 which I believe is latest... I also love this plug-in.. made a huge difference for me
I've never experienced what you mentioned, but I'm only switching based on Media [video ends, change scene], Sequence, and Time. If you are using one of the other methods, I can't comment.
It's probably worth mentioning which scene switching items you have enabled/activated/configured
