Advanced Masks

Advanced Masks 1.6.1

I'm having the same issue as StreamMan above is. I'm trying to update to v.1.6.1 using the portable version, and OBS tells me that the plugin failed to load.

I'm not entirely familiar with how new OBS 33.0.0 plugins are to be installed, but from what I can tell, I'm supposed to drop the "obs-advanced-masks" folder into the "core" folder in "obs-studio", correct?

Almost, but not quite.

For a portable install, there should be a `plugins` folder in `obs-studio`. If there isn't one already, create one. Then put the `obs-advanced-masks` folder in the `plugins` folder.

`core` is reserved for modules distributed with OBS (things like the basic sources, scenes, encoders, etc..), and it actively prevents any non-core-modules placed there from loading.

Hi! This isn't working. I’m using the portable version. I also tried the installer version, but it didn't find it there either. I can see that a "Plugin" folder has been created, but it still doesn't work! (OBS 33)

Looking forward to a real solution... thanks!
Apologies- just saw this.

For a portable install, putting the plugin folder (`obs-advanced-masks`) in the `plugins` folder is the correct way of installing. Can you please attach a log from that OBS, and it will give me a bit more to go on. If you go to the `help` menu, then `logs`, then `upload current log` and get me the url it gives you, that would help a lot.
