Question / Help Adobe FMS playback problem

Hello,

I work on Windows 8.1 and I try playback on my FMS a local OBS recorded file.

For that, I stream with OBS with the option "automatically stream in the file'.
Then I upload the file to my FMS and tried to playback the file with a JW Flash Player but it doesn't work.
I've done the test with an FLV file as well as with an MP4 file. Same result.

Could help me please, because when my live fails I need this as a backup.

Thank you in advance,
BM

If you post your logfile I'll check through your settings in OBS, but not sure about Adobe Media Server

Besides needing your profile to main and key frame interval to 2, I cant see anything really wrong. Try changing those two thing and see if a test file uploads.

Thanks dping, but it doesn't help much.
It seems the video file format generated by OBS is not compatible with the AMS, dispite I can read it locally with VLC.
The only workaround I've found is to convert the flv to mp4 locally before upload to the AMS and it works.
It's a pity because OBS is really good application and I advise all my client to use it.
Presently I'm moving to Wowza, maybe it'll be better.

Understood. I believe that you can record with MP4 with OBS. The file format FLV/MP4 is just the shell.

Take a look at this:

Maybe also check out OBS studios which can also stream at one resolution/fps/bitrate and record at another:
