I just started using this program and no matter how many vids I view, I cannot figure out how to change the default hp cam and use my own camera to record on obs. How do I record my desktop and myself like on the youtube gaming videos?

I tried that already, but my camera doesn't show up as an option. And i was told that my camera Akaso ek7000 can't be used in obs or I should figure out how to use its wifi features which have become a fail too, so....I think i'm gonna have to just return the camera and get a different one.

Hello:

Posting in case anyone else has this issue with the AKASO camera(s). I have the 7000 USA (v1.1) version:

Apparently these cameras hate regular, generic micro-USB cables. I have success only when using cables that have the "B" label on them. Other micro-USB cables failed to work. Do not confuse this with USB TYPE-B. Literally the cable will have a "B" stamped on the receptor side of the cable.

Hope this helps,
