Hello Everyone,

I apologize but I have little to no experience with running OBS. Just a short background I recently upgraded from a 8gb (2x 4gb) to a 16gb Ram but before that anytime I would turn the stream on I would get unplayable frame skips/lag with the actual game running and when I upgraded to a 16gb it runs 100% smoother. Now the Main question is it'll run perfectly fine for 5-8 seconds then it will frame freeze for 1-2 seconds which ends up killing me in BR Games. Below is the Logs, Gayzo of settings & internet speed, and System Specs.. If you need anything else I will locate and post .

I would really like to fix this problem so I can have my friends at work watch and also my brother has been wanting to watch me play COD Black out.

Thank you so much!

I should have read some of the other threads before posting my concerns to see if anyone with the same problem had a answer. Sorry about that. I'll look around as well as looking forward to a answer hopefully.

Thanks Again

Your log shows no problems. Neither your CPU nor your GPU seems overloaded.

For troubleshooting:
Remove or disable each source. Enable one one single game capture source - the one you intend to stream. Start the game, start the stream. Does the issue show up even now? I suppose not. Now add and enable one by one the additional sources and see with which source the issue starts to happen.

Thank you for the Reply,

So another quick back story I tried StreamLabs OBS and ran into the same situation but on the bottom left corner it actually tells you when you drop frames as well. It stated I dropped 66-85% frames 2 seconds ago then it'll say the same 5 seconds later. I read up a little bit my one monitor that I use to game on is 144hz and the other monitor is at 60hz and they said that could be a problem as well? Even when I run OBS on my computer without streaming or recording I get frame drop, I can watch a stream, pause a YT video, Run Team speak & discord and have tabs open on my web browser and have no dropped frames while playing the game. Only while OBS is up I get these issues like that application is the reason I drop frames.

Figured out the problem.
Windows 10 is preventing OBS to capture from a 144hz monitor (Gaming monitor) when the OBS tab is opened on my secondary monitor 60hz. If I put OBS on my primary and minimize it I don't get capped at 60 frames & I don't drop any frames. Inconvenience but I'm done complaining just glad it works now.
