I started streaming a month ago. I get an average of 15 viewers at one time. Some people complain about buffering which there is nothing I can do when I am not partnered. I had an idea though. What if I stream at 720p30p 2000kbps AND 480p30p 900kbps? I would accomplish this by using obs original and obs multiplatform.
Obs original will be the 720p stream. My stream will run normally here. The fun part is how I would do the 480p part. None of this has been tested. I do not know if two instanced of obs original will run at the same time. I am assuming it will not. This is all in my head and being tested tonight after some feedback here.
My 480p stream will be set up in obs multiplatform. I will be using a separate account for twitch alerts and twitch to stream it. Both streams will be from the same computer. I would like feedback if you think my computer will be able to handle this. I will be capturing the 720p stream though window capture feature. Having the game audio outputed to desktop so both programs have equal access to it. Then setting my mic up in both programs (It is a blue yeti. I am assuming it will work). That gives me the picture, mic, and game audio used for the 720p stream on the 480p stream.
Now to my hardware. I stream mostly wii u games so I capture with a yuan dvi pcie capture card. No pc games will be streamed this way.
Pc specs:
I7 5820k @4.2ghz
Gtx 970
Msi gaming 7
2x 500gb evo 850 sad
3tb wd black hdd
Cosiar rm800 power supply
Windows 10
Internet speed is 70 down 10 up
Any opinions? I emailed twitch support and they said it was fine as long as my hardware can handle it.
