Question / Help 2PC Setup, bad audio quality

Where is the audio getting screwed up? Going through VAC? Audition? It sounds okay when recorded locally, before it gets sent to the LGP?
 
So to clarify, it sounds like shit when it's output on the encoding PC for OBS to record? Or does it sound fine there too, and only sounds bad when you play back the file OBS outputs?

I don't have any speakers connected to the streaming PC so I don't know if it sounds like shit before or after OBS or both. I'll check that later and come back.

The sound is shitty when I preview it in OBS. But it's perfectly fine when it leaves the gaming PC. RECentral audio bitrate is 256 kbps.

I realize that its not only the microphone's audio that has a bad quality, its also the "gaming PC sound" that sounds bad on the streaming PC's side.

Okay, I ditched the HDMI sound and is now transferring the sound over Mumble. Works really good except that the quality is not perfect, due to Mumbles compression I guess. I set set the audio bitrate to 96 kb/s (which is max) in Mumble. Is there a way to increase the sound quality more with some fix for Mumble or maybe even with another program? TS?
