Hello,

so i have following Problem. I'm trying to record (not stream) a game in 2560*1440 (Minecraft and Witcher 3). So I click start recording and it shows the preview where I see the game so I go in game and when i finished, i press stop recording. When i look at my recording then, it only plays the audio. No Video.

So i tried downscaling. Not really downscaling but just putting the recording resolution to 1920*1080 (under Setting->Video->custom) Then, I am getting a video file but it doesnt get the whole screen, in Minecraft for example it only shows the upper thing, so i cant see my inventory in the video.

I also tried that borderless and then window capture (in 2560*1440) but then i also only hear the audio.

Basically I only want to record for Youtube, I dont care if its in 1440p or 1080p, but I cant seem to get it working, so please help me :o

Having Windows 7 64 Bit, r9 290, xeon e3 1231v3, 8gb ram, 250gb ssd

Thanks

Okay, so when i put my Monitors resolution itself to 1080p and then put 1080p in Custom in OBS i can go fullscreen in minecraft and record it properly in 1080p.

Tho any way for 1440p?

Post a log file of your earlier attempts at 1440p and the one that worked at 1080p.

I got it working, the only problem was that Windows Media Player can't play 1440p Videos, found this out after hours of searching for my probblem ._. ^^ So I just downloaded "K Lite Codec Pack" (after some googling) and now it does work :)
