Question / Help 2 Streamers. One channel.

I'm looking for some advice. I'm trying to stream my game & audio as well as the game and audio from a friend of mine. I want to stream them both to 1 channel. We are not on a local connection. I have tried to stream my normal setup via OBS and using window capture to grab his webcam and gameplay from Skype, but his quality is potato. Are there any simple solutions for this? Thanks for any input.

No, there are no simple solutions for this.

The only semi-simple way involves setting up an nginx-rtmp server and having them stream to that via OBS, then grabbing their video from that and streaming it. They will be 3-10 seconds behind you in-game, and generally have significant delay. You'll need the technical acumen to set up and secure an nginx-rtmp server, as well as know how to grab the video from it (usually a custom URL with the CLR Browser plugin).

Normally, people who want to multi-stream get their own channels, and use something like Multitwitch to allow people to watch both at once.

This is disappointing. We can send folks to the moon but we can't seem to make this work. I'm just surprised with the technology that we have that this can't be solved. I'm ok with a 1 or 2 second game delay, and voice will always be in sync since we are just using Skype, but the video portion here is quite the conundrum.
