2 OBS Studios opened issue...

Hi, uhm... I have an issue with my obs studio. Every time I open it, it keeps saying this:


...even though there isn't another one open at all! I don't know how to make this stop.
I tried shutting my laptop down and restart it; it stops once I open it but then it won't record. After closing it then opening back up, it'll start saying that same thing again. Can someone please help me? It's really irritating me.

I don't have any other recording programs. Also, I've noticed in my tool task, I see an icon of it which means that it's open but when I left or right click on it... it does nothing. I think that's why it keeps saying that message.

I think it might be frozen after being closed.

Open the Task Manager and go to Details. Look for OBS.exe or OBS64.exe and right click and select "end task". Now you should be able to run OBS again.

I tried everything on there. Still didn't work...

I don't know what else to do here and it's causing it not to record at all which is messing up my gameplay...
I tried switching from MP4 to MOV... didn't work.
I tried closing out display mode... didn't work either.
I even used task manager and ended task... it works but then later the issue comes back again.

Have you tried rebooting your PC? Should help fix that specific issue.
Either that or the shortcut to open OBS is corrupted and tries to launch it twice.

Okay, so I've uninstalled it then reinstalled it back and now it records fine. :)
