Question / Help 2 elgato GCHD though obs?

Anyone know if it is possible to have 2 Elgato Game Capture HD USB capture cards plugged into the same rig to be able to be used at the same time in OBS?

For example... quick scene switching from one device to the other or even side by side footage?

I worry about this because OBS needs to initialize the device for it to work and if it powers up one, will it power the other one?

We want to move into more live shows and would like our live editor to be able to switch POV with alternate facecams often.

I thought I read that someone was using 4 capture cards simultaneously? brands and models please? Do the drivers or anything not interfere with each other? internal or external cards?

While I can't say for sure if having two ElGato at the same time would work properly, it's not something I would recommend, especially with their drivers being on the hacky side already.

I have four capture cards. Three of them are the exact same model (AverTV CaptureHD/AverMedia H727), one is a Startech PEXHDCAP. They're all PCI Express cards, and they can all be used at the same time.

Edit: Actually, I suppose I have five. I have an XCAPTURE-1 as well, which is external, but completely different from the ElGato. It's a USB 3.0 card, and unlike the ElGato it doesn't need to compress its video output to fit it within the bandwidth available.
