Hi!

So I got my new BenQ XL24020Z 144hz recently and it is so smooth to play cs:go and other games on. BUT, when I tried to stream I dropped A LOT of frames, but I had about 200 fps ingame, and It felt like I was playing at 60 hz once again which was very unpleasant. It was stuttering and it was choppy... I've been trying to look for some answers but haven't found any solutions to my problem. This is really bugging me because I really want to stream but I can't do it with this problem..

Another point maybe worth mentioning that I have a second monitor at 60hz that I have the twitch dashboard and my obs on.

pc specs:
CPU: intel core i5 3570K 3.40GHz
GPU: Radeon 7950 3GB
RAM: 8 GB

I appreciate all the help I can get, thanks!

This log file was from my testing stream

CS:GO is somewhat infamous for this issue. The reason is because everyone wants to play their game at 120fps or 144fps, but they don't realize that OBS is also running on the same GPU and CPU that the game is running on, and that running a game at that high of an FPS can have this issue occur because it's basically going to suck up GPU activity.

One thing however that often tend to help with CS:GO is turning off the OBS preview. This seems to help in a decent number of cases, though not all. If you continue to have problems, you might want to try using more downscale with OBS to reduce its GPU (and CPU) activity. Perhaps lower OBS' framerate. Sometimes webcams can also cause some interference if you're using them at too high of a webcam resolution (turn down the webcam resolution to only just what you need in its properties if so)
