Question / Help 1080p60 recording on an i7 2600k.

If the major factor is just the frame rate why not record at 720p60 instead?

It's not just the frame rate, but the overall quality in combination with its resolution.

I need it at 1080p and 60 FPS. 30 FPS is just too sluggish for my liking, and at 720p the in-game-text gets hard to read and overall ugly to look at.

It's just from my perspective, but 720p60, while fine, just doesn't cut it for what I want to do.
