Does Cam Link support multiple devices connected at the same times?
- Yes.
- If using multiple Cam Links is causing issues, make sure they're on separate USB port controllers. Cam Link uses about 2Gbps of bandwidth (Uncompressed 1080p60 video) and two Cam Links may be overloading the USB controller.
Changing USB transfer mode:
- Cam Link by default comes in the bulk USB transfer mode. This mode of transferring audio/video over USB is more compatible with Windows systems, but may cause issues on macOS systems. To fix this, the transfer mode needs to be changed. This happens automatically when a Cam Link is connected to a system and the Game Capture software is launched.
- Windows - Bulk mode
- Connect Cam Link to a USB 3.0 port on your computer
- Run the Elgato Game Capture software
- Wait 10 seconds
- Close the Elgato Game Capture software
- Cam Link is now running in Bulk mode
- macOS - Isochronus mode
- Connect the Cam Link to a USB 3.0 port on your mac
- Run the Elgato Game Capture software
- Wait 10 seconds
- Close the Elgato Game Capture software
- Cam Link is now running in Isochronus mode.
