Getting Started
Bible Display Software allows you to easily display Bible passages, songs, and custom text in OBS and VMix. Simply install the software, type in the text box, and your content will appear.
Installation
Windows Installation
1. Download the latest version of Bible Display Software from the [GitHub Releases](https://github.com/Tosin-JD/bds/releases) page.
2. Extract the downloaded ZIP file (if applicable).
3. Double-click on the `BibleDisplaySoftware.exe` file to launch the application.
4. If you see a Windows security prompt, click More Info → Run Anyway (this happens because the app is not signed).
Mac & Linux (Coming Soon)
Plans are underway to bring the software to Mac and Linux.
Requirements
- Operating System: Windows 10 or later
- Internet Connection: Required for online Bible search
- OBS Studio / VMix Pro: Required for display integration (optional)

How to Display in OBS
1. In Bible Display Software, go to the Menu Bar and click on View.
2. Select Display Receiver.
3. Click Copy to Clipboard to copy the receiver URL.
4. Open OBS Studio.
5. Click Add Source (or the + button in OBS).
6. Select Browser as the source type.
7. Paste the copied receiver URL in the URL input box.
8. Adjust the width and height as needed.
9. Click OK.
10. Return to Bible Display Software and type in the text box or select a Bible passage to display it.
How to Display in VMix Pro
1. In Bible Display Software, go to the Menu Bar and click on View.
2. Select Display Receiver.
3. Click Copy to Clipboard to copy the receiver URL.
4. Open VMix Pro.
5. Click Add Input.
6. Select Web Browser.
7. Paste the copied receiver URL in the URL input box.
8. Adjust the width and height as needed.
9. Click OK.
10. Return to `Bible Display Software` and type in the text box or select a Bible passage to display it.

How to Display a Bible Passage
1. Go to the Bible tab.
2. Search for a Bible passage by name (e.g., John 1:1) or by entering a keyword (e.g., Love your neighbor as yourself).
3. Click on the Bible verse to display it.
How to Add a Song
1. Go to the Song tab.
2. Click Choose File to upload a .txt file containing the song lyrics (e.g., song.txt).
3. To differentiate the chorus, make sure the first line of the chorus is the word CHORUS.
4. Click on any line of the song to display it.
Example song.txt Format:
