Question / Help YouTube says software is not sending data

I was attempting to help my streaming partner set up OBS on her Windows 10 PC. When she connected it to YouTube, and started streaming, it said she needed to connect her software to YouTube and start streaming. Which she had already done. It said that YouTube was not receiving any data from her software.

Half of the search results I found when I tried to troubleshoot this said it's a problem with OBS not properly sending the data to the right stream key, the other half said that it's a problem with YouTube not receiving data properly. The OBS ones didnt have any fixes explained, the other ones said to reset the stream key through YouTube.

Nothing I did worked, so I'm more confused than ever. Can someone help me fix this?

We did. It still wasnt working. Now, a suggested fix we found was to reset the stream key, which basically just generates a new key, but we couldnt figure out how to switch the key in OBS?

Just remove the current key in obs and paste the new one in

Can you explain how to do this? It's been a very long time since I've used OBS myself, and the tutorials I'm finding are all outdated or just downright confusing.

Hi friend, I do not know if it helps you but i fixed it calling to my Internet provider.


I have 30mgs to uploading and Obs did not send any data and it let to work without reason.


So. The provider told me than my Internet was instales in an automatical channel, then she put in 3 seconds my Internet in a new channel (I did not do anything) and i start the streamg inmidietly.
