Youtube Livestream: Video Image Freezes and shows "Thumbs Up" on screen. Audio OK

Just started happening recently after I updated to Sonoma 14.5. I run a Macbook Air M1 2020. Never ran into this issue before.

I assume the issue is OBS. My livestream on Youtube will be fine for a few seconds, then the video freezes and a "Thumbs Up" emoji appears on the screen. My chat says the audio is completely fine. It's the video that's frozen.

This only seems to happen when I Livestream to Public. I tested everything out with my video as "Unlisted" and everything was fine.

Anyone know what might be causing this? I haven't changed anythnig except updating my macOS. OBS is also running its latest update. Running OBS MIDI 2.3.

This is caused by Apple’s poorly considered “Reactions” feature. Here’s how to turn it off:

- Make sure OBS and the video capture is active
- Look for the screen capture or video call icon in the menu bar (it’s a very obvious color icon)
- Click on that icon to open the menu
- Find your camera name in the list and click on it
- Click the icon next to Reactions to disable it (it should change from green to grey)
