Youtube and OBS 28 Livestreaming Question

This is a question probably more related to Youtube than OBS but as many OBS users live stream to YouTube someone may have an answer.

I used to live stream using OBS27 very occasionally, so I have a bit of noobie experience. When I set up a broadcast using OBS 28.0.1 using the inbuilt functionality to set up a Managed Broadcast actually it works great but I have a question.

Previously this YouTube window/tab would show details of the stream, analytics viewers etc but how I have configured OBS and I am streaming but this window is blank..

However, the stream is live and visible on the Internet, OBS thinks it's good. The Manage tab shows this..

Is the issue a YouTube thing an OBS configuration thing or an idiot user thing because I don't understand something obvious..

I don't use the stream connection automation features in OBS, so I'm by no means authoritative.
However, if you are asking why you aren't seeing "details of the stream, analytics viewers etc" that is because I believe OBS is only assisting in making the connection, not providing streaming platform status info. Which is why I don't use the stream connection assist features. I monitor my stream and similar stream analytics in a browser window. Many (especially gamers) do not. Since I'm going to the stream platform web page anyway, and I prefer security of a non-persistent stream key, I have no use of OBS' connection assist features. I simply copy in current stream key and I'm off.

So, this may be just a use case situation where you are looking for certain details you'll primarily see on the stream platform (YouTube in your case). Now there may ?? be plugins that will grab and display the data you are looking for

Hi Lawrence_SoCa thanks for this reply, it just seems odd. I'll give the automated set up a miss and try a fully manual set up next time.
