New to OBS trying to help out my church get online with streaming. I did search and read through quite a few previous posts but I just wanted to see if I could get a first hand experience reply on a system build. Going to use a 2-3 HDMI cam setup mixed through an ATEM Mini mixer or Roland mixer and then single USB3 (webcam) input to PC. I'd like to stream to YT at 720P (4K up) and record local at 1080P. If I can ever get my hands on a ATEM Mini Pro it will do the local ecording for me but for now I need to plan to record on PC. I also need to use OBS as a "poor man's passthrough" and enable fullscreen projector of the program window out to HDMI to send a vid feed to other end of church.
I've got a $1000 budget max Id like to see it more at $800. I was leaning laptop last night but got scared off by poor performance but could I go laptop? I am OK to build up a mini/micro ATX system myself I'm just struggling with being sure about specs. I'm thinking AMD Ryzen 5 3600, 16GB ram. And video card is where i'm stumped. I'll need minimum dual HDMI out. Am I going to be OK with GTX 1060 to handle the encoding load? Is that overkill can I go lower? (1030/1050?) (or GTX 16xx?) or do I need more?
