Question / Help yet another help thread... :)

Hey, so I have pretty much messed around with every single setting I could change and I still can't get a smooth good looking stream. When I say 'good looking' I don't mean a 1080p 60FPS amazingly clear stream; I just want to be able to stream in good quality and have it smooth on the stream. I have not been able to find any settings that have come close to that. Whenever I try to stream it always constantly freezes. I have literally tried everything, and I have a good PC with a good connection also which is making it even more irritating.

so here is my set up:
intel i7-3770k
32 GB of G.Skill Ares RAM (don't think it matters)
2x ZOTAC GeForce GTX 580 3GB

And here is my internet connection:

So if anyone has any idea on the settings I should use I would greatly appreciate it :)

Monitor is 1920x1080, and my current settings are low because I thought maybe if I put everything super low I could get the stream to work and be smooth but it hasn't worked. Maybe I'm not doing something right?

Video Encoding
Quality balance: 5
Max Bitrate: 1000
buffer size: 1000

Base Resolution 1280x720
FPS: 30

Video:
x264 CPU Preset: Veryfast
Custom x264 Encoder Settings: vbvmaxrate=1000
Send Buffer Size: 11680

The reason I think I am doing something wrong is because I was able to stream with xsplit with a 3700-5000 bitrate and had it 720p with no problem. And my computer+internet are definitely good enough to stream in at least decent quality.

Trying to do 720p with 1000 bitrate is a bit silly, try doing 2000/2000. You certainly appear to have the upload for it.

Custom x264 Encoder Settings: vbvmaxrate=1000

That's exactly what you're setting in the Encoding tab for Max Bitrate, so putting that in is really redundant.

Can you post a log of one of your streams that isn't smooth?

Yeah I know it is, but like I said, I have tried literally almost every combination I could think of and that just happen to be the one it is on right now. I have tried to change the bitrate at intervals of 100 all the way from 800-4000 (while changing the quality of course) and could not find one option where I had a smooth stream.

I will link to a choppy video, I will have to make one that is longer then 2 minutes or so.

Since you have more than enough upload for 720p streaming, Here are the settings I recommend.

Video
Quality: 10
Bitrate: 2500
Buffer: 2500

Resolution: 720p (1280x720)
FPS: 45
Preset: Faster

Let me know how this looks for you!

Here is a video of me playing a Dota 2 game vs bots. My settings are just what Mr.KyleG recomended.

Video
Quality: 10
Bitrate: 2500
Buffer: 2500

Resolution: 720p (1280x720)
FPS: 45
Preset: Faster

I was still getting the freezing of the stream... Though its not THAT often, it happens much more near the end of the game when there is more action going on. Sorry for such a long video, but I didn't want to just link a 10 minute video where it happens only once or twice.
